How She Came To Be

In 2017, I started to immerse myself in the world of podcasts. I developed somewhat of an addiction. Starting with your go to man, Joe Rogan, and moving through other influential figures such as Jordan Peterson, Stefan Molyneux, Russel Brand, Dave Rubin, Jock Willink and a selection of presenters with Ted Talks and The Best of the Left. I used the application Overcast, on my Iphone, which is ideal, allowing you to download the casts and listen to them whenever, wherever. It feels like such an efficient use of time, a way to learn on the go. Me and me bud Brando were both listening to podcasts, although he was more into the Youtube platform. In the latter months of 2017, we started flirting with the idea of starting our own. The complication was geographical separation and a lack of technological expertise/equipment. After a little bit of research, I discovered I had at least the minimum amount of expertise to execute the idea. I then managed to convince my parents to invest in the required gear, as a Christmas/Birthday gift, to be able to pull it of at a bearable standard (thanks team xx). I then started doing some planning to construct a half decent podcast, drawing from my influences whilst incorporating my personal interests. 2018 sneaked around and I was back in my home town of Balclutha (rep). I had nothing better to do with my time for the next couple of months and thought ‘this is as good a time as any to give this thing a shot.’ And this is what I mustered up!
